Your answers stay in this tab
No account is needed. The check runs in your browser. Model numbers and error-code text stay in this tab’s memory. Navigation within the site, including Back and Forward, preserves the current appliance assessment and optional reference details. Reloading, closing the tab or starting a new assessment clears that assessment. Choosing an appliance from Home starts a fresh assessment. Privacy links open a new tab. There is no server-side answer database, and diagnostic answers are not stored in URLs, fragments or browser storage.
Optional analytics
Analytics is unavailable in this copy. No analytics events are sent. All guidance works without it.
If you allow analytics, we send selected answer options, the bounded make category if chosen, results, match strength, checks opened and feedback to PostHog. Error codes are recorded only as provided or skipped. Event times, temporary visit/assessment identifiers and a broad screen-size category are included. We also record a fixed entry category (homepage, appliance entry or one of the three search entry types), the selected initial observation where applicable, and whether the result concerns drainage, spin/extraction, safety or unclear evidence. These are fixed categories, not URLs. The assessment keeps the same temporary identifier as its questions adapt, without counting another start.
We do not send model numbers, error-code text, names, email addresses, page URLs or referrers in analytics. We do not record your screen, use tracking cookies or identify you across visits. Requests expose your IP address and browser headers to the provider; this app disables geographic enrichment.
Approved policy for the intended PostHog Free plan: Product analytics events are retained in PostHog Cloud for up to 1 year under the Free plan.
Your choice
When available, use “Analytics choices” to allow or turn analytics off. Only that preference is stored for this tab. If storage is blocked, it lasts until reload. Turning analytics off stops future requests and retries; it cannot recall events already received. Earlier answers are never sent when you opt in later.
Hosting and request information
The site is hosted by Netlify, using the Free plan. Technical information can include IP addresses, browser/device information and request/service metadata.
Netlify processes technical request and service data needed to deliver, secure and operate the site. On the intended Free plan, customer-visible Observability covers the past 24 hours, and function and edge-function logs are retained for at least 24 hours. Provider-side retention can vary by data type and purpose under Netlify's policies. Customer-side project access is intended to be limited to the site operator. No third-party Log Drain is planned for launch.
Netlify hosting is configured. PostHog analytics is not currently connected or enabled.
